Swim Across America GCSL Challenge
For the 3rd summer in a row, the Gwinnett County Swim League (GCSL) is coming together to make waves in the fight against cancer. Each team competes to see who can raise the most money for Swim Across America Atlanta that funds pediatric cancer research conducted at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. At the end of the season, no matter who tops the leaderboard, we all win when we make waves to fight cancer together!

- Apply for the SAA GCSL Junior Advisory Board: This year we are excited to announce the inaugural SAA GCSL Junior Advisory Board program. This programs provides a leadership opportunity for a student athlete from each GCSL team to be an ambassador of the GCSL Challenge and our beneficiary within their team community.
- Good Luck Ducks: Stop by our table at the County Meet to purchase a Good Luck Duck! All proceeds benefit the GCSL Challenge.

SAA GCSL Junior Advisory Board (JAB)
W are thrilled to launch the SAA GCSL Junior Advisory Board (JAB), a premier leadership program designed for student-athletes who want to make a difference.
Program Overview
- Service Term: April – July
- Representation: One student-athlete will be selected from each Gwinnett County Swim League (GCSL) team to serve as a JAB member.
- Leadership Role: Members act as ambassadors for the GCSL Challenge, representing our mission within their local team communities.
Responsibilities & Collaboration
JAB members will play a vital role in mobilizing their teams. You will collaborate closely with:
- Fellow JAB Members: To share ideas and strategy across the league.
- Team Council Person & Coaches: To develop creative ways for your team to compete in and support the GCSL Challenge.
Participants will gain a firsthand look at the impact of their fundraising efforts. Members will have the opportunity to attend a beneficiary visit, where they can learn about the groundbreaking research and life-saving work conducted at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

What is Swim Across America?
Swim Across America (SAA) – Atlanta is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research conducted at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Since 2013, the Atlanta chapter has raised over $3.9 million to support the life-saving work of their beneficiary.
Annual Events & Community Impact
The organization unites the local swim community through several high-impact events:
- The Atlanta Open Water Swim: The flagship event held every September at Lake Lanier.
- Pool Swims: Pool swims are hosted throughout the year to engage swimmers of all ages and help raise money for the cause.
- Gwinnett County Swim League Challenge: A specialized partnership focused on involving youth leagues in the fight against cancer.
By participating in these Swim Across America event, donors and athletes directly contribute to breakthroughs in pediatric oncology treatments.
